Wine Lips is pure chaos. The Canadian garage punk psych rockers know a thing or two about getting loud and rowdy, and their ear-scorchin', headbangin', adrenaline-pumpin' music rips so hard and fast it'll feel like you're being launched clean out of reality.

The band's been givin'r since 2015. What began as a part-time project between Cam Hilborn (vox, songwriter, guitar) and Aurora Evans (drums) got cranked right up to a full-blown international shredfest over the last decade. They've quietly become one of the most successful independent rock bands to emerge from Canada in a generation. Wine Lips started out in and around Toronto, expanded to Ontario and Quebec, then knocked out a cheeky international tour in Hong Kong and China in 2018. From there, like their music, they never slowed down. They've ripped hundreds of sets all across North America, Europe, and Asia, playing big fat often sold-out shows at some legendary venues. For three years, they were pretty much always on the road â€" right up until the end of 2024 when they decided to chill a bit on all the touring to focus on writing their new record TV Dinner.

Wine Lips has released four full-length albums to international acclaim, racking up 45 million Spotify streams and counting. They've garnered rave reviews spanning 35+ countries and smashed out iconic live shows including an appearance on KEXP, supporting the Black Crowes at both Massey Hall and MTELUS. Their sets have rocked festivals across North America and Europe, like Shaky Knees (Atlanta), SJOCK, Best Kept Secret, PALP, and End Of The Road, to name a few. And their tunes have been licensed to a metric ton of films, series and video games, including EA Sports, ABC's The Rookie, Hockey Night In Canada, and Population 11.

Their new record TV Dinner drops August 28. TV Dinner spans 13 fuzzy, mind-bending tracks themed around the slog of modern life: burnout, doomscrolling, addiction, dead-end jobs, housing frustrations, and the low-grade anxiety humming beneath it all. Recorded with longtime collaborator Simon Larochette at The Sugar Shack in London, Ontario, the album deliberately leaves the rough edges alone. For the first time, Aurora steps up to lead vocals on several tracks, including the debut single "Projector," a garage-punk blast that's a total racket.

"I wasn't trying to take it too seriously or overthink anything which probably helped with a lot of the subject matter of the lyrics. I definitely took a bit more of a candid approach with the lyrics. I didn't want the record to sound too polished, so we left a lot of mistakes and natural weird things that might normally be fixed in the mix. It's the first time Aurora has taken a lead vocal role which is cool and her voice works well with the songs she sings on! It was a fun record to put together and we're stoked with how it turned out." â€" Cam Hilborn

"Now that's what I call music!." â€" Iggy Pop BBC Radio

"It's pure adrenaline, it's noise, it's intense, it's refreshing, and it feels life-giving. The garage-psych band's new album is, for all intents and purposes, pretty fucking crazy." â€" Exclaim!

"There's a sensuality and strong sense of controlled chaos that these Canadians bring to life on the record." â€" New Noise Magazine
